Jurassic West, 2nd Edition

 

The Morrison Formation represents one of the best-known Late Jurassic ecosystem around the world, ranging from the states of Colorado to Montana, including Wyoming and Utah. Its exploration began in the late 1800s and lead to the discovery of many famous fossil dinosaur taxa such as Allosaurus, Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus. Many of the species discovered in this famous Formation are strictly related to the species found in the Late Jurassic of Portugal.

Recently, the second edition of the book Jurassic West by Dr. John Foster came out. Jurassic West is the most complete, up-to-date compendium on Morrison Formation and Jurassic faunas in general available today, and it is based on research made by Portuguese researchers on Late Jurassic of Portugal.
